A great video explaining the divinity and sacredness of womanhood. I believe with all of my heart that this is one of, if not THE BEST WAY that daughters/children can learn about good relationships and self worth. Happy Sunday. :)
Yesterday, I was privileged to speak in my church about one of Christ's parables. I thought it would be a good idea for me to post here what I spoke about because I believe these words to be true and invite anyone who reads and has questions, to please feel free to ask me about what I believe. I'm always willing to share! Katie Washington D.C. 2 nd Ward Talk – May 10, 2015 Laborers in the Vineyard & God’s Infinite Kindness – Matthew 20: 1-16, Alma 36:17-21, D&C 121, Isaiah 54:10 Good morning everyone. My name is Katie Klotzer, for those of you who don’t know me, and I have been in the ward since the beginning of September of last year. I feel so grateful to be able to speak to you today as I have felt so full and edified by the Spirit these last few months. I have so much to be grateful for and I feel humbled to talk about what I know to be true. I want to talk to you today about a parable that I have had the opportunity to learn more about, especi...
As of last Saturday I have watched about four Indian (Bollywood) films and am watching another one tonight. I don't know what happened, but I recently discovered these cinematic gems and love them to death! (Seriously they are so good.) But why you may ask? I think the reason why, besides the fact that they are musicals with singing and dancing in them, is the raw emotion that each movie evokes. These movies are literally tear-jerking! Sometimes they do come across as a little melodramatic and almost soap opera-ish, but I think the drama and cheesiness adds to the endearing nature of them! My favorites so far have been Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Aaja Nachle . The first film is one of India's most popular Bollywood films and I highly recommend it. The second is not as widely acclaimed, but it is still so good! Another reason why I think I like them so much is the complete and utter romance of the storylines. These movies (at least the ones that I've wa...
Well, it has been about a month and a half since I have been home from Britain and I am having serious withdrawals. (It also doesn't help that at the moment I am watching 'North & South', a film based in England...). I have been thinking a lot about what I learned on my trip, sort of as a way to say goodbye to Great Britain. Obviously it has taken me a long time to think of exactly what I want to say. :) One thing I miss greatly is the hustle and bustle of London life. The more time that passed while I lived there, the more I felt like it had become my home. Brooke and I often joked that Soho was our place. I also loved the connection I felt with Scotland because of my family ties to it. When we went we to the Battlefield of Culloden, I was overcome with emotion when I thought that MY past ancestors had fought for freedom right where I was standing. The th...
