If only every Parks and Rec Department was like this...


If you haven't watched Parks and Recreation, you are seriously missing out. I recently got hooked on this TV show and now I consider myself a faithful fan. It is hilarious! Amy Pohler combined with the other great members of the cast really make up superb entertainment that is fairly clean and family friendly! I highly recommend it to all!

My new obsession...

As of last Saturday I have watched about four Indian (Bollywood) films and am watching another one tonight. I don't know what happened, but I recently discovered these cinematic gems and love them to death! (Seriously they are so good.) But why you may ask? I think the reason why, besides the fact that they are musicals with singing and dancing in them, is the raw emotion that each movie evokes.  These movies are literally tear-jerking! Sometimes they do come across as a little melodramatic and almost soap opera-ish, but I think the drama and cheesiness adds to the endearing nature of them! My favorites so far have been Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge and Aaja Nachle . The first film is one of India's most popular Bollywood films and I highly recommend it.  The second is not as widely acclaimed, but it is still so good! The BIG 2014.

Wow. What a year. I really can't believe that December is already here and 2015 is right around the corner. The fact that it will be 2015 is so surreal...wasn't it just 2000? Naturally, thinking about the new year makes me think back on this past year. This crazy, incredible, hard, and very rewarding year of 2014. As most of you know, I spent the majority of this past year as a member of BYU's International Folk Dance Ensemble. I spent last winter, spring, and summer practicing, performing, and touring all over Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, and Europe (Belgium, France, & Switzerland). Words cannot express how incredibly rewarding this experience was and I consider myself SO lucky to have been able to do one of the things I love most (dancing and performing) for thousands of people.
